Book a Tour or Request Information. Come see the academy in person or speak with our admissions team. We’ll walk you through the program, answer every question, and help you understand your options.
Step 2:
Complete Your Registration. Submit your $150 registration fee and kit fee (*$2,500) to secure your spot. Tuition ($10,500) is payable in monthly instalments of $1,050/month. September is almost full — we recommend moving quickly.
Step 3:
Start September 8th. Show up ready to learn — Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Monday – Wednesday focus on hands-on practical training. Thursday and Friday are dedicated to Pivot Point digital curriculum, with your instructors right there beside you.

From precision cutting and sculpting for women and men, to advanced colour chemistry and salon business — you’ll graduate with the complete skill set today’s top stylists are built on.
Foundations, Safety & Science
6–7 Weeks (200 Hours)
Learn the essential science and safety standards that form the core of a professional styling career. This module covers crucial topics in infection control, trichology, cosmetic chemistry, and workplace ergonomics to ensure long-term physical health, client safety, and deep product knowledge in the salon environment.
Hair Design & Sculpting
12–13 Weeks (400 Hours)
Develop the artistic eye and precision motor skills required to cut professionally for women and men across all hair types and modern styles. Students will master the core principles of design, structural sectioning, and elevating — plus elegant updos, braiding techniques, and finishing styles that complete every client look.
Hair Colour & Lightening
12–13 Weeks (400 Hours)
Dive into the art and science of colour theory. Learn to confidently formulate permanent, demi-permanent, and temporary dyes while learning the latest application techniques. This module features a deep dive into colour selection, application, processing, various foiling techniques, balayage, and color correction.
Chemical Texturizing & Styling
7–8 Weeks (250 Hours)
Learn the science behind permanently and temporarily altering the hair structure to transform its texture. Learn about perms, creating wave and curl patterns, chemical relaxing treatments, and chemical smoothing. You will also learn styling techniques, including elegant updos, braiding, and more.
Customer Service & Salon Business
4 Weeks (150 Hours)
Being a successful hairstylist requires more than technical ability. In this module, you'll learn how to communicate effectively with clients, conduct professional consultations, recommend home care products, manage salon supplies, and use the booking and point-of-sale systems found in today's salons. The module also includes mock practical exams to help prepare you for your licensing examinations.

Everything You Need To Know
Do I need experience to enroll?
No prior experience is required. Our program is designed to take you from complete beginner to certified professional. If you have a passion for hair, we'll teach you everything else you need to know.
When do Hair Xtacy Academy classes start?
Our classes begin September 8, 2026. Spots are extremely limited — we recommend registering as soon as possible to secure your place before the intake closes.
What's the class schedule?
Classes run Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM — fully in-person all five days.
Monday - Wednesday are dedicated to hands-on theory and practical training.
Thursday and Friday focus on Pivot Point digital curriculum, with instructors present and available to support you throughout.
How long is a hairstyling diploma program?
The hairstyling diploma program is approximately 1,500 hours, typically completed over 9–10 months of full-time study.
What does tuition include?
Your tuition of $10,500 covers all instruction, use of our Burlington training facility, access to real clients through our student hair clinic, and your certification pathway.
Your kit fee ($2,500 + tax) includes all professional tools and supplies you'll use throughout the program and keep after graduation, plus two years of post-graduation access to Pivot Point — the industry's leading digital learning platform, so you can keep developing your skills long after you leave the salon floor.

How big are the classes at Hair Xtacy Academy?
We keep class sizes small intentionally. This ensures every student gets direct attention from our instructors — not a numbered seat in a lecture hall.
Where do hair school graduates typically work after graduation?
Many Hair Xtacy Academy graduates go directly into Burlington's top salons, including our own award-winning Meloo Salon and Hair Xtacy Salon. Others go on to open their own businesses, work on editorial shoots, or enter the competition circuit.
What certificate do you get from a hair school?
Hair Xtacy Academy will provide you with an industry-recognized Hairstyling Diploma upon successful completion of the program, along with support for professional certification requirements.
Does the program include barbering or men's hair cutting?
Yes — our Hair Design & Sculpting module covers men's cuts, clippers, razors and precision techniques for all hair types. While we offer a dedicated Hairstyling Diploma rather than a full barbering program, our graduates are fully equipped to work confidently with every client regardless of gender or hair type.
