The Hair Xtacy Academy is a cosmetology school in Burlington offering hair stylist courses specifically designed to help you master your craft and operate your hairdressing business. DO I QUALIFY?

If you have a Ontario Secondary school Diploma or equivalent or mature student ( at least 18 years of age, you qualify. But hurry, set your intention now, because the seats do fill up every semester.

START HERE

STEPS TO YOUR HAIR SCHOOL CERTIFICATION

1500 Hours (or 43 Weeks) of Academy training. It’s both experiential training and theory.

Commit to the Training

Yes, you will learn all the fundamentals of hairstyling plus much much more. You’ll be exposed to a variety of trainers, speakers, qualified instructors and network with industry representatives.

Mentorship Hours

Next step is to complete a 1,500 hour apprenticeship. If you qualify, you will be selected to work in one of our award winning salons. How long will the complete certification course take? In total, you can aim to get your Diploma in 10.5 months!

Take your Government Exam

To become a licensed hairstylist, you must write the appropriate exam for your province or state. After studying at Hair Xtacy Academy, you will be ready to do your government exam to earn your official hairdressing licence. Then you can work towards becoming a master in your field!

The lessons are interesting and leave plenty of space for questions and discussion. Every class begins with a demonstration from one of Hair Xtacy's very own award-winning hair professionals and ends with students acquiring hands-on experience with mannequins from their kits. Carmen cares deeply about creating an enriching experience for future stylists and goes above and beyond than just teaching the basic fundamentals. He makes sure that our teachers are also instilling modern day salon practices and prepares us for client consultations, social media presence and product knowledge.
